According to relevant information, as early as 3000 BC, the loincloths, fringed dresses, and ancient Greek clothing that were used by the Egyptians had traces similar to silk scarves.
Silk scarves were not originally used for decoration, but to keep out the cold as their main function. Before the Middle Ages, cloth scarves that began in northern Europe or ancient North France are considered to be the ancestors of modern silk scarves.
Between the 16th and 17th centuries, silk scarves were mainly used as head scarves, often combined with hat ornaments. By the end of the seventeenth century, there appeared triangular scarves embroidered by hand with lace, gold and silver threads. European women draped them on their arms and around their necks, knotted them under the neck or on the chest, and decorated them with flowers. Fixed, both warm and decorative. In the heyday of the French Bourbon Dynasty, when Louis XIV was in power, the triangular scarf was listed as an important accessory in clothing and standardized. The upper class began to use scarves to embellish Chinese clothes, and many princes and nobles also used scarves to decorate their male appearance.
